Accessing the care you need

There are many ways to book an appointment with us. 

Booking an appointment

The great majority of our patients attend our daily open access clinics which run all the time when we are open. Patients attending will be seen on the day. Please come to the surgery and book in with the receptionist. Click on the link below to find our address.

Patients can also consult a doctor or nurse by telephone. Please call reception on 0207 222 8593. The receptionist will take your details (please remember your phone number) and a doctor or nurse will call you back as soon as reasonably possible. 

Frequently asked questions

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:  

  • by phone  
  • face to face pre-booked appointments at the surgery  
  • face to face walk in appointments at the surgery – please attend early as possible in the day to avoid disappointment.

We ask that if you cannot attend your appointment for any reason please tell us as soon as you can, so that we can give the chance to someone else.

Please tell us:  

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond;  
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face or by text or email;  
  • if you need an interpreter;  
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

  • Please ensure you tell us as soon as possible if you are no longer able to attend your appointment. This means we will be able to offer it to someone else.  
  • To ensure that your problems are given enough time, please note that we operate a one problem per appointment policy. You may be asked to rebook if you have more than one problem to address.  
  • In order to try and improve waiting time, we would ask you to turn up for your appointments on time.
  • If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will be asked to re-schedule another appointment.  
  • Please ensure that you have informed the receptionist of your arrival so that the clinician is aware that you are waiting   
  • Chaperones are available at your request. This means that, if you feel more comfortable, especially for an intimate examination, a member of the admin time cam join the consultation  

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

You can book an evening or weekend appointment in one of our Enhanced Access Hubs. Contact us via telephone to make an appointment.

South Westminster Centre for Health

St Georges House, 82 Vincent Square, London, SW1P 2PF (nearest tube: Pimlico)

6.30pm to 8pm on weekdays and 9am to 4pm on Saturdays

The Connaught Square Practice

41 Connaught Square, St George’s Fields, London, W2 2HL (nearest tube: Marble Arch) 6.30pm to 8pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays.

A remote telephone clinic also operates during weekdays 6.30pm to 8pm and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.

Patients contacting us with acute medical needs can now be referred to six Additional Access hubs. It means that the patient will have a face-to-face appointment on the same or next day (depending on booking time).

These hubs take place in different GP Practices across your local area, including within our practice: Paddington Green Health CentreLisson Grove Health CentreSt Johns Wood Medical PracticeMarylebone Health Centre, Third Floor Lanark Medical Centre and the South Westminster Centre. Patients will be seen by a GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

Appointments will be triaged by our team based on need via the usual methods for booking an appointment. You do not have to accept an appointment at one of the Additional Access hubs.
